In Loving memory of our wonderful cat, Coochie.

Coochie relaxing
He was so kind and gave so much love. At the age of 14 years and 8 days he left this world to go to a better place.

We got him from a friend's farm, the Kelly's, in Ballarat at the end of year 1. He was born on 29th November 1989. I grew up with him. Throughout all my schooling days and most of my university days he was always there. When he was a young kitten he used to sleep in the middle of the pool, on the pool cover. He soon put on too much weight to keep that up. I loved lying outside in the sun and having Coochie lie on my chest and just relax the day away together. Or if it was stormy and wet I would take Coochie inside and cuddle and comfort him or I'd sit with him in the shed and hug him. He'd purr so loud that he sounded like an engine. He loved people, anyone who visited will attest to that. He would rub up against complete strangers, expecting a pat. Whenever I went outside and he was around he'd miaow a happy greeting to me. He had a few battle scars from fights with possums or other cats. However, he always seemed to come out on top, either that or he'd bellow like hell until we came out and scared other cat off. He was always full of love and the perfect companion for me to grow up with.

He died within 2 hours of my returning from my term in England. I'm very glad that he waited so he could say goodbye to me. If you're reading this Coochie, I miss you.
